Best Black Friday Deals of 2013

Black FridayLooking for a new HDTV? Ready to invest in that new computer? Well, if you can wait until Black Friday 2013, you’ll be in luck – because this Black Friday looks like it will be a good one.

This year, dedicated deal hunters will have to take some time out from turkey and football to find the best prices – because this year, the deals are starting early: on Thanksgiving day. The Wednesday before Thanksgiving through the Wednesday after Thanksgiving is now, officially “Cyber Deals Week,” so you may not even need to leave your couch, much less camp outside your favorite store, to score your electronics. Ah, progress. However, planning your buying strategy beforehand is still an important part of the holiday tradition, so here are the deals to watch for.

Bigger, Better, Cheaper TVs
This year, HDTVs are expected to be among the best Black Friday deals around – and we’re talking name brand televisions, like LG and Samsung.

Laptopalooza
Sales of laptops have fallen with the rise of more mobile technologies – namely, smartphones and tablets. So if you are in the market for a laptop this year, you are in luck. Some deal news sites are predicting prices of $170 and under for budget laptops (15”-16” models, perfect for basic computing needs). Keep on the lookout for the new “ultraportable” laptops with super lightweight designs – they’ll still be pricey, but less so. Find them at Walmart, Target and Amazon.

Tablets & E-Readers Take the Stage
Tablets and eReaders are expected to be hot commodities this Black Friday with some great deals out from Amazon and Samsung.

Gadgets with Phone-like Functions
Smartphones have been doing away with MP3 players and GPS systems – so if you are in the market for those, expect to find very good prices. Or, just hope for a deal on the new iPhone.
